What is The Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (arrs)?

The Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) is a funding mechanism introduced by NHS England to support the recruitment of additional healthcare professionals within primary care settings. NHS England has provided confirmation that PCNs and ARRS funding will continue until at least March 2026.

By utilising ARRS funding, PCNs receive financial reimbursement to employ various additional roles, such as GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), Practice Nurses (GPNs), Clinical Pharmacists and more.

There is strict ARRS qualifying criteria surrounding each of the roles and the Nightingale team can help you navigate this and provide appropriately experienced and qualified healthcare professionals.
